VET Workforce Study

This report examines the workforce delivering VET to Australia’s construction, property and water industries.

Drawing on a national survey of RTOs and extensive consultation, it finds retention is relatively strong but recruitment is difficult. High entry barriers, unclear career pathways, rising compliance demands and constant training package change are stretching capacity.

The report proposes a range of practical reforms to boost the workforce and lift system performance.
